ANDI QUELCH, Technical Trainer
Andi Quelch is a highly experienced and qualified electrician and machine tool engineer with over two decades of industry and educational experience. With a calm, approachable manner and a strong technical foundation, Andi now serves as a valued Technical Trainer at MCP, delivering a range of electrical training programmes designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced engineers.
Andi’s career began with an advanced electrical apprenticeship, progressing through roles in high-security and industrial environments, including a significant period with AWE PLC where he worked on schematic design, machine tool maintenance and complex electrical systems within nuclear facilities. His experience spans installation, inspection, testing and the operation of switchgear and facility infrastructure.
In recent years, Andi has transitioned into training and education, delivering electrical qualifications such as the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, Inspection & Testing and Building Regulations. He is a certified assessor (TAQA) and holds the Award in Education and Training (AET), bringing a structured yet flexible approach to teaching. Andi is particularly passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and takes pride in supporting learners of all ages and abilities.

Andi is dedicated to supporting his local community and has held long-standing voluntary roles, including as a Thames Valley Police Cadet leader and Assistant Beaver Scout Leader. Whether working with teenagers or young children, he is committed to building confidence and encouraging growth through structured activity and positive engagement.
